I think it comes from a place of chauvanism and the bagggage of leftover 'western exceptionalism' that even leftists don't want to move to AES states.

Even I sometimes get scared of the idea, thinking if I leave the imperial core I will be the target of said imperialism. And although that might be true, at least I'd also be part of a revolutionary project I could be proud of.

The empire is crumbling here as capitalism enters its death spiral, at the risk of many of us in America and the planet at large. I hope to see it through and rebuild in the wake of revolution, but we will see. Always worth considering a better life elsewhere.
